CONFIRMATION CLASS - Room 203 -
Confirmation is the time in a young person's life when he or she has the opportunity to explore what it means to become a full member of the church family. At McGregor Presbyterian, confirmation classes are traditionally offered during the 6th grade year. These classes are open to any student who wants to learn the meaning and responsibility of an individual's profession of faith.
Confirmation classes are held each Sunday during the Sunday School hour beginning in September and ending the following May. Students explore topics such as worship, prayer, mission, Presbyterian polity, and opportunities for church and community service. Through the confirmation class, we seek to provide our youth with a fundamental understanding of our faith, tradition and Presbyterian practices.

The SS hour begins at 9:45 a.m. and the lesson starts at 9:55 a.m. Class members visit while others settle their children in nursery or classes. Weekly preparation study time is minimal and open discussion during class is encouraged. Weekly lessons "stand alone," for it is understood that everyone in this group cannot attend every Sunday. The summer study is "The Beatitudes for Today." Pot-Luck Suppers in members' homes provides opportunities for fellowship. The weekly offering is used for a church or community project which is chosen by the class members.
