MUSIC ACTIVITIES
The music ministry at McGregor is a very active program, including choirs for children, youth, and adults. In addition to presenting anthems for worship, these groups present special programs and musicals throughout the year. Instrumentalists and vocal soloists are used frequently to enhance the musical offerings during worship. The music program seeks to offer glory to God, to further illuminate the Word, and to provide spiritual enrichment for the congregation as well as those who participate. Joy Ackerman is the Music Director and Organist.

PRE-SCHOOL PROGRAM

McGregor Presbyterian Preschool/Kindergarten is an outreach ministry of the church. Now in our 21st year, the program serves children from 1-5 years old.
National accreditation was awarded to McGregor by the National Association for the Education of the Young Child in 2005. We emphasize the development of the whole child; spiritually, physically, emotionally, and cognitively.
Our day operates from 9-12 noon, with an extended program for 2-5 year olds called Lunch Bunch from 12-2 pm. Our school year begins the end of August and ends in the middle of May. We follow the same holiday and in-service day schedule as Lexington/Richland District Five.
Our class sizes are limited, and our teacher-child ratio is lower than the number required by the Department of Social Services. We meet all requirements for licensure by DSS and DHEC and are regularly inspected. All staff members are required to maintain 15 hours yearly of continuing education credit.
Registration for each school year is held in January for current students and church members. The public is invited to register on February 1st of each year.
We offer a once a week summer program called Terrific Tuesday in the months of June and July. This is available for 1-5 year olds, with Lunch Bunch for 2-5 year olds.
For information on cost, curriculum, and other general information, please contact Rhonda Marino at 781-2539, or email the preschool office at rmarino@mcgregorpresbyterian.org . Parent Handbooks are available upon request.
