STEPHEN MINISTRY AT MCGREGOR PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH
A Stephen Minister is…
- Someone who cares
- Someone who supports
- Someone who listens
What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministry is a vital part of pastoral care at McGregor. Stephen Ministers are trained lay persons who provide one-to-one care to those experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances. There are times in our lives when each of us needs the compassionate care of another person – a Stephen Minister: grief, divorce, hospitalization, illness, childbirth, unemployment, retirement changes, loneliness, discouragement, and questions about God.
Who Can Benefit?
Anyone going through difficult times who needs someone to care, listen, and share God’s love with them on a one-to-one confidential basis. Stephen Ministers visit their care receivers regularly and dependably. They are committed to preserving the confidential nature of the caring relationship.
